Table manners

Live dealer etiquette

Online live tables still have people on the other end of the camera. A few habits keep the stream moving and the chat from turning sour.

Remember there is a dealer

Live roulette, blackjack and game shows are staffed by real dealers working a shift. Friendly chat is fine; insults, pressure about outcomes, or demanding special treatment is not. Most studios moderate chat and can mute or remove players who cross the line.

Respect the decision timer

Blackjack and some poker-style live games give you a countdown to hit, stand or act. Waiting until the last millisecond every hand slows the whole table. If you need longer to think, lower-stakes or private tables (where available) are kinder to everyone else.

Chat that helps vs chat that distracts

Short greetings and “nice spin” comments are normal. Spamming strategy tips at strangers, pasting bonus codes, or arguing about RNG myths in a live stream chat helps nobody. Side conversations about unrelated topics belong elsewhere — the dealer still has to call bets.

Side bets and seat hopping

Jumping seats mid-shoe in blackjack or repeatedly opening and closing bet spots can confuse the flow. Pick a seat, learn the side-bet rules before enabling them, and leave cleanly when you are done rather than lingering with zero stake while blocking a seat others might want.

What dealers cannot do

Dealers cannot alter game rules, reverse settled outcomes, or advise you on whether a bet is “due”. Account, bonus and verification questions belong with the operator’s support team — not the person spinning the wheel. If the stream glitches, use the in-client help or reconnect; shouting in chat will not restore a packet loss.

Safer play still applies

Live tables make it easy to lose track of time because the show keeps rolling. Set a session reminder before you sit down. UKGC-licensed sites must offer deposit and reality-check tools — use them. If you need a longer break, GamStop covers the licensed market.
